Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Restoration Technician to join our team and help clients recover from water, fire, mold, and other property damages. In this vital role, you will be on the front lines of emergency response, providing expert restoration services with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Your proactive approach and technical skills will ensure that affected properties are restored swiftly and thoroughly, making a tangible difference in clients’ lives during challenging times. This position offers on-call coverage opportunities and requires a commitment to safety protocols and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls for water, fire, flood, mold, or asbestos-related incidents, demonstrating readiness for on-call coverage.
- Perform cleaning, water damage restoration, flood restoration, fire restoration, and mold remediation tasks using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Operate company vehicles safely to transport equipment and personnel to job sites while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and Xactimate software for accurate damage assessment and cost estimation.
- Conduct asbestos abatement procedures when necessary, following strict safety guidelines including respiratory protection and personal protective equipment (PPE) use.
- Execute construction-related repairs such as drywall installation, flooring replacement, and other structural work needed for comprehensive restoration.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including photos, reports, and logs in compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on progress while delivering exceptional customer service throughout the restoration process.
Skills
- Proven experience in the restoration industry or related construction fields with knowledge of fire, water, flood damage repair, and mold remediation.
- Strong emergency response readiness with the ability to remain calm under pressure during urgent situations.
- Familiarity with Xactimate estimating software and hand/power tools used in restoration projects.
- Ability to operate company vehicles safely while following all safety protocols including respiratory protection and PPE use.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients during stressful circumstances.
- Knowledge of safety protocol adherence including asbestos abatement procedures and mold remediation standards.
- Construction experience is highly desirable for performing structural repairs efficiently; certification in asbestos abatement or related fields is a plus.
